Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely maintain an attachment state of a torsion coil spring to a main body member.SOLUTION: A chain tensioner CT includes a main body member 10 and a torsion coil spring 20. The torsion coil spring 20 has a spiral part 21, and a first extension part 22 and a second extension part 23 which extend from the spiral part 21. The main body part 10 has a base body 11, a cylindrical part 12 projected from the base body 11, and a shoe wall part 13. The spiral part 21 is fitted and held to the cylindrical part 12. The first extension part 22 is held to the base body 11 at a plurality of points in its longitudinal direction by a first holding part 14 and a second holding part 15 which are formed at the base body 11. The second holding part 15 can be constituted of two projecting bodies 16, 17 which sandwich the first extension part 22 from left and right.
