Abstract:
To reduce a size of a cylinder block by eliminating necessity of securing a space for arranging an energizing means inside the cylinder block in a chain tensioner device in which a tensioner arm, which is in slide-contact with an outer surface on a loose side of a cam chain, is rotatably supported by the engine body so as to be energized to a side on which tensile force of the cam chain increases.
The energizing means 41 for energizing the tensioner arm 35 to the side, on which the tensile force of the cam chain 25 increases, is arranged between a cylinder head 15 and the tensioner arm 35.
