A chain 1 to be mounted on a vehicle tire has a ground contact net 2. The ground contact net is arranged on a ground contact surface 3 of the vehicle tire, while it is mounted, and is connected to an inner holding cable 5 of a vehicle tire inside 300 by an inner shoulder chain 4, and is connected to an outer holding cable 7 of a vehicle tire outside 400 by an outer shoulder chain 6. The ground contact net 2 is mainly formed of a linear chain element. The inner shoulder chain 4 is, at least, formed of a chain element with a twisted portion which is arranged in the vehicle tire inside 300 while it is mounted.
