Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a traffic information reception device which can reduce the communication burden on an external equipment and also can perform a real-time processing.
CONSTITUTION: The decoder 11 of an FM multiplex receiver 1 discriminates the signal corresponding to the radio wave exclusive for the traffic information from the FM signal received through an antenna 2. A radio wave beacon receiver 5 and an optical beacon transceiver 6 receive the signals sent from a beacon transmitter and output them to the receiver 1. When the receiver 5 or the transceiver 6 is set in a reception state, an MPU 13 processes the signals received from the receiver 5 and the transceiver 6 and outputs these signals to a display part 4 even though the receiver 1 is kept in a reception state. When the graphic data are displayed based on the received signals, the MPU 13 draws the graphic data on a VRAM 17 and at the same time outputs this data to the part 4.
