To provide a chain in which its assembling characteristic is superior and it has a superior outer appearance after assembling operation, no loss occurs at the time of its use, an appropriate amount of lubricant corresponding to its application is supplied gradually in a uniform manner to a sliding segment and a uniform lubricant film is interposed, no tolerance in its quality is found and a superior abrasion resistant elongation in life is attained.
A chain 1 is constituted such that a pair of outer plates 4 connected by two pins 5 and a pair of inner plates 2 connected by two bushing 3 are alternatively connected under a state in which the pins 5 are freely fitted to the bushing 3. Solid lubricant bodies 7, 8 containing ultrahigh molecular weight PE with an average molecular weight of 1 million or more and 5 million or less and 1 mass% or more and 10 mass% or less in regard to a total mass, a low molecular weight PE with an average molecular weight of 1 thousand or more and 10 thousand or less and 15 mass% or more and 90 mass% or less in regard to a total mass and lubricant of kinematic viscosity of 10 or more and 1000 or less in a viscosity class of ISO and 10 mass% or more and 90 mass% or less in regard to total mass are fitted to the inner face and outer face of the bushing 3.
