PURPOSE: To obtain a chain with a great strength by increasing materials of end regions of links.

CONSTITUTION: A chain 10 has a plurality of links 13 arranged in substantially parallel with each other. A hole 15 is arranged at each end of the links. An end region 14 of the link extends from the hole 15 till the end of the link. A plurality of connection elements 19 connect the adjacent links together. The link 13 is connected to each other in a three-link arrangement. The end regions 14 arranged in the same manner as the links are offset, and a pattern thereof is repeated at every three links. The connection element 19 passes through the hole 15 at one end of one link and the hole 15 at the opposite end of the adjacent link. The end region 14 of the link substantially extends till the adjacent connection element 19, whereby the materials of the end regions of the links are increased, and strength of the chain 10 is actually improved.
