Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair and a chair assembling method, capable of connecting a backrest to a backrest connection member with high connection strength without causing increase in weight and manufacturing cost, and also easily assembling the backrest to the backrest connection member.SOLUTION: A backrest connection member includes: a rear extension part extended rearward of a seat; and an upper extension part 40 extended while changing in direction from a rear part of the rear extension part to an upper side. The backrest 5 includes: a lower support wall 34 capable of coming into contact with a lower face of the rear extension part; a front support wall 28 connected with a front face of the upper extension part 40; a connection wall 35 connecting the lower support wall 34 and the front support wall 28 so as to form a storage space 41 of the upper extension part 40 on a rear side of the front support wall 28; and an insertion allowance space 37 allowing the upper extension part 40 to be inserted into the storage space 41.
