This chair bed includes a seat part 13, a backrest 15, a thigh receiving part 17 and a lower thigh receiving part 19. The backrest 15 is fixed at a chair state, a bed state and a shock posture state and is swingable among them. When the backrest 15 is in the bed state, the thigh receiving part 17 and the lower thigh receiving part 19 are substantially horizontal, however, when the backrest 15 is in the shock posture state, the lower thigh part 19 is configured to become a downward slope where the feet P6 of a person are located at the lower end. Alternatively, when the backrest 15 is the bed state, the thigh receiving part 17 is substantially horizontal and the lower thigh receiving part 19 is configured to locate the thighs P3 of the person in the upper part of the thigh receiving part 17, so as to be substantially horizontal and lift upward than the thigh receiving part 17.
