Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to change arm rest angle interlocking with rotation of a seat back, allow arms to be placed on arm rests in a natural state free of sense of discomfort either in a sitting pasture or in a lying pasture, and retain for an extended period of time such a state that suits best to performing intravenous drip, dialysis and other treatments.
SOLUTION: An arm rest 11 is constituted by a first arm rest arm 11A and a second arm rest arm 11B. The front end of the first arm rest arm 11 is pivoted rotatably at the front end of a wing 9 by using a bolt 50, and the rear end is inserted slidably into the second arm rest arm 11B. The rear end of the second arm rest arm 11B is pivoted rotatably near the lower portion of the side of a seat back 8 with a bolt 52. This bolt 52 is provided at a location higher than a rotation shaft 26 of the seat back 8 and the bolt 50.
