Abstract:

To solve a problem associated with a conventional chair for medical examination that although a doctor can carry out a medical interview, a medical examination and a treatment without moving a patient, a backrest supporting the back of the patient becomes an obstacle when the doctor tries to perform auscultation, ocular inspection, and percussion of the back of the patient because the backrest is fixed to the chair.

The chair for the medical examination comprises: a vertically movable seat part 3; a backrest 5 which has a backrest raising means storable within the lower part of the back of the seat part and rises and falls in accordance with rising and lowering of the seat part; and a leg rest 7 which rises and falls in accordance with rising and lowering of the seat part. The chair shifts its states among a state where the backrest is stored within the lower part of the back of the seat part, a chair state where the backrest is raised by the backrest raising means, and a bed state where the seat is raised while the backrest and the leg rest are laid flat.
