Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair with a novel structure which supports a body while keeping a basic shape of shapes of a seat and a backrest of the chair and exerts appropriate cushioning properties.SOLUTION: A chair includes: a press-machined sheet composite layer which comprises at least a first sheet layer made of a mesh-like thermoplastic resin and second and third sheet layers, which are heat-sealed on respective faces of the first sheet layer and are made of a thermoplastic resin, and has a backrest or a seat part having a shape corresponding to a shape of a frame of the chair or the backrest and the seat part; and a press-machined cushion layer which has a face bonded to the face of the press-machined sheet composite layer, has a recessed part in a part from a lumbar part of the backrest or buttocks of the seat part to a back part of thighs or in a part from the lumbar part of the backrest to the back part of the thighs of the seat part, and is made of a thermoplastic resin.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
