To provide a simply-configured and cost-saving chair-type potential treating device having a height adjusting mechanism.
This chair-type potential treating device for carrying out a potential treatment by applying voltage to a person sitting on a chair comprises a chair unit 1 and electrodes 21 arranged on the chair unit for introducing alternating current high voltage. The chair-type potential treating device has a supporting structure 10 comprising a main section 11 for supporting the chair unit 1 and a leg section 12 for supporting the main section 11. Linking boards 20b and 20c and a main actuator 15 are provided between the main section 11 and the leg section 12. One end of the each linking board is pivoted by the main section 11 and the other end is pivoted by the leg section, and the main actuator swings the one end of the each linking boards 20b or 20c longitudinally. With such a configuration, the one end of the each linking board 20b or 20c swings upwards by actuating the main actuator 15. By doing so, the one end of the each linking board 20b or 20c goes up, and the chair unit 1 supported by the main section 11 is risen.
