The chair (1) has a base seat (2), support legs (3, 4, 5, and 6) integrally formed with the base seat (2), a backrest portion (11) raised at the back of the upper surface of the base seat (2), a pair of back pads (15 and 16) provided at the backrest portion (11), hand rail members (23 and 24) fixed on both sides of the base seat (2), and a pair of waist pads (18 and 19) positioned in front of the backrest portion (11). The waist pads (18 and 19) and the back pads (23 and 24) support both sides of user's spine.
