To provide a chair allowing a user to easily write the content of a lesson in a textbook when the user takes the lesson in playing a musical instrument while seated on the chair and to easily play the musical instrument while looking at the textbook.

The chair has a turning mechanism with a first fixed position and a second fixed position. A music stand/notebook stand is extended in the direction of a seat and fixed at the first fixed position, and the music stand/notebook stand is extended in the opposite direction from the direction of the seat, relative to the turning axis, and fixed at the second fixed position. The first fixed position is the position where the music stand/notebook stand is substantially retained in the horizontal posture in a play zone composed of the seat, a support part and the turning axis. The second fixed position is the position where the face of the music stand/notebook stand facing the seat is retained in the inclined posture in a zone higher than the turning axis.
