To provide a chair with a seat frame capable of being bent downward when a person is seated, and capable of preventing the buttocks of the seated person from touching leg frames below when a stretched material stretched over the seat frame sags down.

Seat support rods 8 facing in the front/rear direction are attached to left and right leg frames 2, and lower surfaces of both sides of the seat frame 24 are supported by a plurality of front and rear intermediate seats 26 and 27 respectively fixed to the upper surfaces of the seat support rods 8. A cover member 33 is inserted between each seat support rod 8 and the seat frame 24 in such a way as to cover the intermediate seats 26 and 27, and the upper ends of the intermediate seats 26 and 27 projecting from an opening on the top of the cover member 33. In this way, the upper and lower ends of the cover member 33 are clasped by the lower surface of the seat frame 24 and the upper surfaces of the seat support rods 8, and the gap between the seat frame 24 and the seat support rods 8 is closed.
