To prevent a chair in which a seat is formed of a frame and a support seat, from deteriorating in appearance caused by a vertically long streak appearing on the support seat.
The seat 2 is provided with side members 7 and the support seat 6. A cylinder part 6a is formed at the left and right side parts of the support seat 6, and the side member 7 is inserted into the cylinder part 6a. The side member 7 is fixed to the upper support part 11a of a leg device. An auxiliary support 14 extending in the back and forth direction in a manner to be in close contact with the side member 7 is attached to the leg device, and the support seat 6 is supported from below by the auxiliary support 14. While the connecting part of a base part 6' and an upper branch part 6a' appears as a streak when the support seat 6 is just fitted to the side member 7, the streak does not appear since the inclination angle of the upper branch part 6a' is reduced by the auxiliary support 14.
