Abstract:
To provide a chair configured to readily prevent the upward movement of a backrest fitted to backrest-supporting rods without using fixing means such as a screw, and with considerably reduced man-hours for assembly.
The chair is formed by fitting the backrest 3 to the backrest-supporting rods standing from the rear part of a leg body for supporting a seat 2, from above to support the backrest. In the chair, the backrest 3 has lower ends provided with projecting pieces 19 and 19 projecting downward toward the rear end of the seat 2, the lower surface of the rear end of the seat 2 abuts on the upper surfaces of the projecting pieces 19, and the seat 2 is fixed to the upper part of the leg body.
