To provide a chair that can support the weight of a seat occupant and can be deformed following the shape of the back of the seat occupant.
A chair 1 includes: a leg body 10; a backrest support body 20 supported by the leg body 10; a backrest rear part support member 40 supported by the backrest support body 20; and a backrest 50 supported by the backrest rear part support member 40 that supports the back of a seat occupant. The backrest 50 includes: a stretched material 51 that receives the back of the seat occupant and has flexibility which enables deformation following the shape of the back; an upper frame part 52 fitted with the stretched material 51 and connected to the backrest rear part support member 40; and a pair of vertical frame parts 53 connected to both ends in the width direction of the upper frame part 52, and fitted with the stretched part 51, which can be elastically deformed in response to the force applied from the stretched material 51.
