PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the attachment/detachment of a cushion without lowering fitting strength by providing the upper end part of a back support rod with a fitting member and mounting a seat back shell to the fitting member through a connecting mechanism so as to be attachable/detachable.
SOLUTION: The back support rod 4 is constituted of two pipe materials 4a and the fitting member 5 is rigidly connected to its upper end part by welding, etc. The first pawl 12 of an engaging means is bent to be in a reverse L-shape by viewing from a side surface so as to be integratedly molded with a seat back inner shell 8 and, then, to be engaged with the upper end part of a channel part 51 in the fitting member 5 from an upper part. The second pawl 13 is integrated with the inner shell 8 in an adjacent upper side 13a and an outer side 13b so as to be engaged with the upper edge part of a front plate 52 in the fitting member 5 from the upper part. A correlative operation preventing means 27 is provided with a vis through-hole 54 in the neighborhood of the lower end of the channel part 51 in the fitting member 5 and provided with a vis screw hole 18 in the center planar part of the seat back inner shell 8 and the vis 19 is put through the vis through-hole 54 and is screwed in the vis screw hole 18 so as to execute engagement.
