To provide an inexpensive high-performance device utilizing a chamber-piston combination structure.
The piston-chamber combination structure includes a long-form chamber having a long axis and having a first cross section at a first longitudinal position and a second cross section at a second longitudinal position, the second cross section being 95% of the first cross section or smaller, the chamber having a substantially continuous change in the cross section, and a piston promptly adaptable to the change in the cross section of the chamber when moved from the first longitudinal position to the second longitudinal position. The piston includes an umbrella-shaped supporting structure or form, or a fiber-reinforced variable container including fluid. The structure can be used for a pump, an actuator, a motor, or a shock absorber.
