Title:
CHAMFERING JIG FOR MAGNETIC HEAD SLIDER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06187625
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To eliminate the tile and the horizontal deviation that are caused when the chamfering process is applied to the edge of a contact part of a magnetic head for a flexible magnetic disk which touches a magnetic recording medium.

CONSTITUTION: The mobile and fixed chuck pawls 5 and 6 attached to the mobile and fixed chuck main bodies 13 and 14 respectively, open and close at one time when a side fixed frame 19 moves up and down in response to the up-down movements of a chucking open/close up-down frame 18. When both pawls 5 and 6 close at one time, the side faces 1a and 2a of the A and B sliders 1 and 2 are fixed at both sides, respectively. Thus, both sliders never deviate horizontally nor tilt.
