Abstract:
PURPOSE:To seek to miniaturize a transfer and improve controllability in changeover by setting a transfer, which distributes power to a front wheel and a rear wheel, in usually engaging type and providing a power intermitting device for either one of front and rear wheels. CONSTITUTION:A transfer 5 is driven by the power of an engine 1 through a transmission 3. Then, the transfer 5 is set in usually engaging type. And the power divided by the transfer 5 is transmitted to front wheels 11 and rear wheels 13 respectively through each propeller shaft 7, 9. Then, the front wheel 11 is provided with a hub clutch 15 as a power intermitting device. And the power of the propeller shaft 7 drives left and right front wheels 11 through left and right hub clutch 15 after being divided for left and right drive shafts 19 with a front differential 17. Hereby, the transfer 5 can be miniaturized and the controllability can be improved since it becomes four-wheel drive only by locking the hub clutch 15.
