Abstract:
PURPOSE:To simplify the change of modules for debugging, etc., and to attain the reduction of the working time by changing the modules during the operation of a programmable controller PC. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 1 controls the whole PC by a program 2a of a ROM 2. An I/O definition table is included in a RAM 3 and the I/O definition data 4a is temporarily stored in a RAM 4. The data 4a is transferred to a table 3a after the change of the input/output modules. A RAM 5 stores a user program 5a. The slots of the input/output modules are always monitored, and the I/O definition data on the module that is excluded is deleted out of the I/O definition table. Then the I/O definition data on the added input/output module is stored in the I/O definition table. Thus the operation of the PC is continued as it is.
