The channel selection apparatus (101) for selecting a desired channel from a broadcast wave includes: channel selection circuits (111 to 114) each selecting the desired channel from a frequency band including the digital broadcast wave and the analog broadcast wave; and a switch circuit (115) that outputs output signals from the channel selection circuits (111 to 114) to a digital broadcast data processing system (116) when the channel selected by the channel selection circuits (111 to 114) is a channel of the digital broadcast wave and outputs output signals from the channel selection circuits (111 to 114) to an analog broadcast data processing system (117) when the channel selected by the channel selection circuits (111 to 114) is a channel of the analog broadcast wave.
