To provide a char-cooling equipment which has no stagnation/retention of char in the bottom part of the char-cooling equipment, causes no reduction in its performance, and can send out smoothly a char to a char-carrying system without increasing the temperature of the char after cooling.
In the char-cooling equipment for gasification facilities, which gasifys a carbonaceous material in a gasification furnace and a thermal cracking furnace provided therein, separates the gas generated in the gasification furnace and the thermal cracking furnace into a char and a gas at a high temperature in a solid-gas separating equipment, and cools the char thus-separated by heat transfer tubes arranged in the char-cooling equipment, a table feeder 3 is arranged in the bottom part of the char-cooling equipment 1, the opening area of the table feeder being preferably 30% or more of the sectional area of the char-cooling equipment.
