Title:
CHARACTER BROADCAST RECEIVER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS568974
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a television multiplex character broadcast receiver which can project a character program transmitted in a latency time until a fixed character broadcast program by making use of a dual-screen television receiver.

CONSTITUTION: Reproduced video signals of reception system A are supplied direct to mixer 31, and those of reception system B, after being stored temporarily in memory 32 and time-compressed, are applied to mixer 31, so that picture tube 38 will display images for two screens conventionally. In character decoder 100, when selector 19 is set and latency time switch 42 is turned on, switches 39∼41 are placed at L sides and character program information received at that time is displayed at the 2nd program position of picture tube 38 through memory 32. When a delivered character broadcast program agrees with the character program selected by selector 19, comparator 18 places switch 46 at the L side to project information regarding the selected character program on the whole picture tube.
