To provide a character broadcast receiving device that the operability in character program selection is improved by forming a character program common contents screen where the standard contents of a plurality of channels are integrated based on a plurality of stored standard contents information signals.

Channels are periodically and optionally changed-over in an analog broadcasting station selecting part 14. It is controlled by a CPU 17d. Thus, character information of the standard contents of each channel are stored in a standard contents memory 19. In the same way, the change-over of the channels in a digital broadcasting station selecting part 12 is periodically controlled by the CPU 17d, standard contents information of the plurality of or whole channels designated by a viewer are obtained and they are stored in the memory 19. Standard contents information of the plurality of or whole channels of both analog and digital broadcasts are controlled by the CPU 17d and supplied to a common contents presenting part 20 so that a common contents table is created. The table is supplied to a change-over mixing part 15. The part 15 transmits it to a picture tube 16 to display it.
