Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a variety of display for a predetermined character by use of simple constitution which does not employ dot type segment constitution.
SOLUTION: This letter display device has (1) a letter display means having at least a letter segment having the shape of a letter and a background segment located around the letter segment to constitute a background part for a void letter and (2) a display control means for controlling the turning on/off of the letter segment and the background segment which constitute the letter display means.
