Title:
CHARACTER FONT FOR MULTI-PINS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01192566
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve printing quality without lowering the printing speed by a method wherein a character font is composed of n dots in length and the same number of dots as that of 24 pins in breadth.

CONSTITUTION: A length direction (a) of a character font for multi-pin is composed of 48 dots, and a breadth direction (b) is composed of 36 dots including half dots. The font is so constructed that an optional one printing wire 1 does not print breadthwise continuously an adjacent dot, but necessarily takes a space of not less than one dot. Then, since length dot density is made larger than breadth dot density and the same structure as for 24 pins is prepared for the breadth direction, a character of high printing quality can be printed without lowering the printing speed.
