Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a character input device allowing a visual check of operation to select a character to be input and capable of inputting characters with a few key-input operations.SOLUTION: When detection means 82 detects a finger touch on a group identification character, group character display means 83 causes display means 81 to display, near a touch detection position where the finger touch is first detected, a character list belonging to the character group corresponding to the touch detection position and to display one character included in the character list at a predetermined position. When the detection means 82 detects, in a state being touched by a finger, a finger operation in a predetermined direction, display position moving means 84 causes the display means 81 to display, in an order of the list in a predetermined position, a character belonging to the character list in accordance with a movement direction and a movement amount of the finger from the touch detection position. When the detection means 82 detects a release of the finger touch, input character determination means 85 determines a character to be displayed at the predetermined position as an input character.
