Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To register an appropriate conversion candidate even when erroneous input of characters occurs.SOLUTION: A character input device 10 includes an input key determination unit 13, an input character processing unit 14, and a conversion candidate processing unit 16. The input key determination unit 13 determines the type of an input key. The input character processing unit 14 executes operation of an input character and determination of the input character based on the input key. The conversion candidate processing unit 16 executes learning of a conversion candidate associated with the input character. When the conversion candidate processing unit 16 detects that a deletion key has been input as the learning of the conversion candidate before the input character is determined, the conversion candidate processing unit 16 sets the input character before the input of the deletion key to the reading of the determined input character.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
