Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it easy to reedit a previously input character string.SOLUTION: A character input device according to the present invention comprises a character input region, a character display region for displaying a first character string which is input into the character input region and which is subjected to a confirmation operation from one end, and a control unit. A region excluding a region of a predetermined width from the one end of the character display region is a temporary display region for displaying a second character string which is input into the character input region and for which confirmation is withheld. The control unit deletes the second character string from the character input region in response to a first movement operation to the temporary display region for the second character string input into the character input region, causes the second character string to be displayed so as not to overlap with the first character string in the temporary display region, deletes the second character string from the temporary display region in response to a second movement operation to the character input region for the second character string displayed in the temporary display region, and causes the second character string to be displayed in the character input region.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
