Title:
CHARACTER PROCESSOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH03210661
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To display the characters in an easy-to-see way to the users by providing a display control means which reduces the characters displayed on a display means in accordance with the instructions of this display means and also enlarges the areas of those displayed characters.

CONSTITUTION: When a reduced display screen is used, a CPU 1 reads the fonts for reduction display out of a ROM 4 and uses these fonts for display of a CRT display 10. In this case, the CPU 1 writes '1' into an I/O register 6 and sets a voltage control signal 7 at a 'Hi' level. Thus the drive voltage 9 for reduction display is outputted to the display 10 via a voltage regulator 8. The voltage 9 has a higher level than the drive voltage for standard display and therefore the display range is increased on the display 10. In such a constitution, the characters can be displayed in an easy-to-see way to the users.
