CONSTITUTION: By two pairs of the reading part of a first light source 1a and a detecting device 2a, and a second light source 1b and a detecting device 2b with a difference detecting wavelength band, the strength of the reflecting light quantity of an original 13 is binarized, and stored into first and second frame memories 4a and 4b. The character of the part, in which the paint is applied through first and second segmenting parts 5a and 5b, is segmented and outputted. Thus, the recognizing time is shortened and the operability can be improved.
