Abstract:
To provide a character recognition device, a method for character recognition, and a program which can support a correction work of results obtained by a character recognition to make the correction work more efficient.SOLUTION: A controller 11 of a character recognition device 1 acquires an image including a character string, cuts off each character image from the acquired character string in the acquired image, recognizes characters from the cut-off character images, and converts the characters into a character code. The controller 11 converts the obtained character codes into a character image, compares the original character image (cut-off character image A.bmp) and the character image (converted character image A.bmp) converted from the character code, and determines the coincidence degree. The controller 11 determines the validity of the character recognition on the basis of the value of the coincidence degree and clarifies the result of the determination to a user.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
