Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a character string information input unit in which confusion due to difference of a command having a character string can be avoided while enhancing expandability.
SOLUTION: Using menu keys at an operating section 108, a user inputs a character string, e.g. a user name (S21). After support command extraction processing (S22) and font information retrieval processing (S23), the number of combinations of commands and languages which can be inputted by the user is checked based on the processing information, and the guide of character string input is displayed for the user on an LCD107 (S25) thus prompting the user to input a character string. At the time of guiding the character string input, inputtable commands and languages are displayed on the LCD107. Subsequently, a character string is inputted by the user (S26).
