To enable a mesh grate to be securely disposed in an accurate position in a charcoal-fire roaster capable of charcoal-igniting inside the roaster.

The charcoal-fire roaster is provided with an outer drum 2 to be retained to a table top-board, an inner drum 3 to be retained inside the outer drum 2 while a smoke absorbing space 4 is formed between the outer drum 2 in any place in the proximity, a charcoal heater 21 disposed inside the inner drum 3, a mesh 11 disposed in an upper side of the heater 21 and a smoke absorbing grill 12 for closing an upper part of the smoke absorbing space 4. The charcoal heater 21 is provided with a holder 28 disposed in the bottom inside the inner drum 3, an ignition gear 22 disposed on the holder 28 and provided with an ignition-gear main body 23 and an ignition-source housing part 24 joining with the bottom of the main body 23, a guide ring 27 protrusively provided toward the inner periphery inside the main body 23, a frame body 25 disposed on the top of the ignition gear 22 and the mesh grate 26 the rim of which is placed on the top of the ring 27.
