Abstract:

PURPOSE: To easily attain the adjustment of the charge amount of toner particles by adjusting the adding amount of a charge control agent in relation to the electric conductivity of a liquid developer and the adding amount of the charge controller.

CONSTITUTION: The electric conductivity of the liquid developer is measured, and the adding amount of the charge controller is adjusted in the relation to the electric conductivity of the liquid developer and the adding amount of the charge controller. As the charge controller of the liquid developer, for example, Cu oleate, Co naphthenate, Zn naphthenate, A1 stearate, Mn naphthenate, etc., can be used. Here the liquid developer adding the optional amount of the charge controller is put in an electrode for liquid and the electric conductivity is measured by an impedance measuring instrument, and with the comparison of the value the toner particle charging amount of the liquid development can be compared easily. Thus with the comparison of the toner particulate charging amount for the adding amount of the charge controller, the adding amount of the charge controller is decided very easily.
