Abstract:
To provide a charge control device and an image forming apparatus that can accurately determine a minimum optimal AC voltage required irrespective of measurement data.SOLUTION: A charge control device comprises: a charging member for a charge target body; means that controls the voltage value of a peak-to-peak voltage of a DC voltage or an AC voltage applied to the charging member; measuring means that measures the value of an AC current flowing to the charging member through the charging target body; average value calculation means that determines the average value of measurement data in a non-image forming period; and corrected data calculation means that determines the ratios of the measurement data acquired in a time-series manner to the average value and compares the ratios with measurement positions on the charging target member, thereby outputting as corrected data of the measurement positions. When a current value other than a predetermined current value is detected at a measurement position in the measurement data acquired in a time-series manner, the charge control device does not reflect a result of the current value on the average value of the measurement data acquired in a time-series manner and does not use the result for subsequent current measurement positions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
