Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charge system of power unit which reduces the current consumption of the charge and discharge control circuit and consists of a long life of secondary battery by making an overcharge detection circuit reset the overcharge detection voltage by the feedback of the output signal.
SOLUTION: An overcharge detection circuit composed of a voltage dividing circuit 1 and a voltage detection circuit for overcharge is of such constitution that it perform stable overcharge detection by resetting the overcharge detection voltage with a detection signal after detection of the overcharge. After resetting to the lower value, a signal Vs to turn off the switch circuit is outputted from a control circuit 4. The voltage of a secondary battery decreases by the voltage corresponding to the product of the charge current and the internal resistance of the battery, and it becomes only the voltage generated by the chemical potential peculiar to a lithium ion battery. That is, it drops by the voltage drop by the internal resistance.
