To provide a charge hopper for a grain dryer, preventing the fly of grains and dust to the outside during charging the grains while eliminating the adjustment of the opening of a shutter by connecting the charge hopper to the discharge port of a grain carrier without forming clearance gaps therebetween and making the shutter of the charge hopper open with the insertion of the discharge port of the grain carrier.
In the charge hopper 50, the discharge port 14 of the grain carrier is inserted so that an opening portion inner face 55 and a discharge port outer peripheral face 56, a hopper flange 57 and a discharge port flange 58, or both of them are put in close contact with each other without forming clearance gaps therebetween. The charge hopper can be rotated in a horizontal or vertical direction or in both directions depending on the connecting angle of the discharge port 14 of the grain carrier. The shutter is provided therein which is made open with the insertion of the discharge port of the grain carrier.
