Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method and device which control a charging status of a battery pack, comprising a plurality of unit cells, which are chargeable/dischargeable secondary batteries and connected in series with each other, and can regulate variations between the unit cells, using a simple constitution. SOLUTION: All discharge circuit Pi1-Pin, connected in parallel with respective unit cells Ci1-Cin have Zener diodes Dp, resistors Rp, and transistors Tp which are connected in series, respectively. By turning on/off a transistor Td, the starts and stops of the discharge circuits Pi1-Pin of respective cell groups CGi can be batch controlled. While the ignition switch is in off-state, charging of a battery pack which makes the voltages of all the unit cells C11-Cmn to be not lower than a regulation voltage (a reverse breakdown voltage of the Zener diode Dp) Vz, and discharging by the discharge circuits P11-Pmn are carried out, to make the voltages of all the unit cells C11-Cmn equal to the regulation voltage Vz.
