Title:
CHARGE TERMINAL SHORT-CIRCUIT PREVENTION CIRCUIT FOR BATTERY PACK
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3309266
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a charge terminal short-circuit prevention circuit for a battery pack which can surely prevent a short-circuit with a simple constitution.
CONSTITUTION: A charge current is supplied to a battery 2-1 through a charge terminal T4 from a charger 3, a current from the battery 2-1 is supplied to a portable apparatus 1 through an output terminal, and the current from the charger 3 is supplied to the portable apparatus 1 through a through input terminal T6 and a through output terminal. In a battery pack 2, a switch 2-2 turning on/off the charge current and a switch operation means detecting the application of a voltage to the through input terminal T6 so as to turn on a switch 2-2 are provided between the battery 2-1 and a charge terminal T4. A resistor with a high resistance value is connected to the battery pack 2 in parallel with the switch 2-2, and the battery pack mounting detection means of the charger 3 detects the voltage of the charge terminal T4 of the battery pack 2 so as to detect the mounting of the battery pack 2.
