Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a cartridge used in charge transfer imaging by providing a first electrode extending along one side of a dielectric material substrate and a dielectric material layer which consists of a second electrode extending in the other direction and a polymerizable material and separates two electrodes.

CONSTITUTION: All the constituents of a cartridge are mounted on a substrate 68, the innermost constituent carried by the soft substrate of a dielectric material is a driving electrode 70, which is composed of parallel conductive bodies 72 extending longitudinally, and a dielectric material layer 76 is arranged above the parallel conductive bodies 72. The second electrode, i.e. a finger electrode, is formed and fixed above the layer 76 to form the next layer. The dielectric material is provided in the form of resin or paste and adhered to the cartridge by screen printing and flows before polymerization to occupy the gap between driving electrodes. Next, the cartridge is baked to cure a polymer. As a result, a dielectric material layer of an optionally desired form can be obtained so that various kinds of possibility can be obtained in charge transfer imaging as well as the cartridge.
