Abstract:
To provide a primary battery using electrodes capable of efficiently extracting electrical energy and usable over a long period of time.SOLUTION: The primary battery of the present invention uses a coated electrode, in which a film including a layered compound is formed on a metal for at least one of a positive electrode (cathode electrode) and a negative electrode (anode electrode). The layered compound is used here as a generic term for materials with an intercalation function and includes microporous crystals and porous coordination polymers with a fixed pore structure in a three-dimensional framework. The layered compounds preferably include graphite and Prussian blue or Prussian blue analogs.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
