Abstract:

To perform the charge and discharge of a plurality of storage batteries at the same time by equipping this device with a plurality of step-up/down converters between a rectifying circuit for charge and a divided storage battery.

AC input is rectified by a rectifying circuit 2 for charge, and it is smoothed by a smoothing reactor 3 and a smoothing capacitor 4. Inputting command signals into switching means 6 and 13 so as to turn on them, and also, inputting the drive signal of the converter controller 23 into a switching element 7 for a step-down converter so as to turn on it will charge a storage battery 10. Moreover, at the time of discharge of the storage battery 10, a command signals are inputted into switching means 6 and 13 so as to turn on them, and further the switching element 7 for a step-down converter is turned off, and the switching element 8 for a step-up converter is turned off. At the time of discharge of this storage battery, the input of the step-up/down converter 5 can be made high. Accordingly, it becomes possible to put the input of the step-up/down converter to the same value both at step up and step down, and the charge and discharge of the storage batteries can be performed individually.
