To obtain a small and portable charger for an electric automobile by providing a part of a duct for supplying/discharging outside air from a fan to/from an electric apparatus and using it as a coupler pocket to secure the coupler removably thereto.
The charger for electric automobile comprises a fan 1A and a duct 1B for cooling various electric parts and circuits by dissipating Joule's heat generated therefrom wherein a part of the duct 1B constitutes a coupler pocket 3 for containing a coupler 2. A securing means 4 normally secures the coupler 2 occupying a relatively large volume firmly to the body 1 of the charger when it is contained therein and not used as a charger such that the coupler 2 partially springs out automatically upon release. Since means for securing the coupler 2 removably to the coupler pocket 3 is provided, the coupler 2 can be contained by utilizing the dead space effectively resulting in a small and portable charger.
