Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the usability of a charging device for an electric vehicle.SOLUTION: A charger comprises: a plurality of charging cables connected to batteries to be charged; and a power supply part that supplies power to one selected from the charging cables and thereby charges a battery to which the charging cable is connected. This charger is provided with a storage section configured to store schedule data indicating a charge schedule for each battery; and a control section configured to select a charging cable according to the present time and the schedule data. The control section is caused to perform a reservation acceptance process in which, upon detection of a new battery connected to an available charging cable, a charging schedule for this battery is assigned to the available time of the charging schedule indicated by the schedule data, a charging completion time for the battery is shown on a display device to thereby inquire whether a charging reservation can be made or not.
