Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charger which can realize the charging operation, while protecting the battery from being lowered in temperature.
SOLUTION: Cooling of battery is continued with a fan 23 even after the termination of charging operation. Whether or not a temperature gradient of battery (temperature change) is negative is determined (S48). If the temperature gradient is negative (S48: YES), the fan 23 stops operation thereof (S54). Thereby, the battery is cooled to the normal temperature and is also protected from excessively being lowered in temperature.
