PURPOSE: To make a device smaller and simpler by providing successively a stationary distributing bell, large bell, small bell and swiveling hopper bell from the inside of a blast furnace to the top of the furnace and providing respectively prescribed functions to the respective bells.
CONSTITUTION: A stationary distributing bell 1 is attached to the bottom end of a holding rod 6 suspended fixedly in the lower part in the mouth of a furnace body 5 and is used for distributing charge. A liner 17 is attached to the outside circumference thereof and a weir part 171 for damming up and depositing the falling raw material is provided thereto. A large bell 2 is attached openably and closably to the bottom end of an operating rod 9 above the bell 1 and is used for stocking the raw material and for sealing. A small bell 3 is attached openably and closably to the bottom end of an operating rod 12 above the bell 2 and is used for sealing and further a swiveling hopper bell 4 is attached to the bottom end of an operating rod 16 above the bell 3 and is used for charging. The bell body is thus made smaller and lighter.
